Acacia Hainsey grew up in Cushing, OK, where she played sports and participated in FFA. After graduating, she attended East Central University, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. After graduating, she decided to take a break from education, and worked as a Child Welfare Specialist for the Department of Human Services. The skills she learned there, helped her to be more successful in interacting with students who have experienced trauma. In 2017, she decided to return to the education field, and started teaching at Oilton Public Schools. Since then, she has worked as a third and fourth grade teacher for Oilton Public Schools. She loves school, but loves to spend her off time with her son, spend time in nature, or spend time reading.
